Wildbirds & Peacedrums, Eternal Death, YEWS, Klubb Lottarox DJs, Monarchy DJ Set
Over the course of three acclaimed albums,Wildbirds & Peacedrums have established themselves as a powerful, single-minded proposition.
Formed of husband and wife duo Mariam Wallentin and Andreas Werliin, the band returns with their first album in four years, titled ‘Rhythms’. The latest album sees the group look to their roots, focusing almost exclusively on vocals and drums. The band mentions, “We wanted the record to sound as intense as our live shows, and as chaotic as the world around us.”
While the drums and vocal template is timeless in itself and central to the band’s vision, Wildbirds have started to take their cues from tropicalia, punk and notably from contemporary R&B.
Swedish electro-pop duo, Eternal Death, consists of heavenly vocalist Elin Berlin & enigmatic producer Johan Angergård who create fascinatingly dark tunes but don’t worry they’ll still have you up dancing.
Yews (Yasmin Kuymizakis) is a Maltese singer-songwriter who composes and produces her songs in the confines of her own bedroom. Her sounds have been described as electronic, ethereal pop and is known for having a different setup every time she performs live, playfully changing and adapting her songs. In June 2014, Yews had her first official release, Selene EP. She is now based in London, delving deeper into the sound art world. She performs and collaborates with talented artists practicing in various genres as she strives to continue to experiment and discover new ways of maintaining a unique sound in her music.
