KAL LAVELLE, BATTLE OF YOU, STEPHANIE O’BRIEN & PROJECT FRESH SOCKS DJs

Kal Lavelle is an Irish born singer songwriter now living in London. Her songs are instantly captivating, with a voice that Alex Zane (Channel 4) praised as simply “beautiful”. Kal Lavelle has gained huge support from her friend Ed Sheeran who took her on tour in the UK & Ireland in 2011. Perez Hilton discovered Kal’s music & featured her on his website, calling her music – “Exquisitely beautiful & raw, it’s as if she’s talking directly to you!”.

BATTLE OF YOU

Championing their own breed of Alternative Pop, BATTLE OF YOU stand between the light and dark of love, loss and pop music. A confident 2014 has seen them performing at BRIT Awards as ‘one to watch’ for 2015 on top of curating their own residency night at Royal Vauxhall Tavern and performing at London Fields Brewery, Dalston Victoria, UCL, Goldsmiths, Apple Store & more. They released their debut single ‘Rebecca’ March 2014 produced by Gary Wallis & Coen Dingemans (Pink Floyd, Mike & The Mechanics, Girls Aloud). The single has so far received airplay on BBC6, BBC Introducing & Absolute Radio also securing a No.1 on Emerging Icons (UMG) unsigned chart with over 10,000 streams and downloads to date. The summer sees the band back in their studio in Hackney Wick working on their 2nd EP with producer Tommasso Wallwork and with gigs & festivals including London Gay Pride, Scala and more.

STEPHANIE O’BRIEN

Stephanie has a colourful history; from her time as singer in London close harmony trio The Puppini Sisters, to collaborations with Michael Buble and Carole King, she is one to keep busy. A singer-songwriter described as “Beautifully feminine and utterly captivating” [Hoxton Amp], it is her work as a solo act in which she flourishes. Her songs dance the line between the heart-warming and heart-breaking, delivered in her unique blend of jazz, pop and folk. Having released her debut EP ‘Leave Your Heart at the Door’ early this year, she continues to garner attention from an ever-expanding audience; with her most recent release of a brand new track ‘Alive’- previewed in a spectacular live-performance video. She presents an unforgettable live performance in which her ingenuity in looping her voice, guitar and violin, magically reproduces the sound, feel and energy of a complete band.

PROJECT FRESH SOCKS DJs

Project Fresh Socks are two Norwegian girls who undertook a mission in 2010 – to become DJs – and they’ve been flying since. They tackled their first gig on NYE 2010/2011 having never touched a deck. Now, two years in, they boast a range of London residencies, several festivals performances, participance in the Red Bull’s Academy’s festival in the London Eye, a sold out Nordic Electronica night at the Roundhouse and a truck load of live gigs under their furry Nordic belts. They are known to fill a dance-floor wherever they go with their house, tech and electro sounds. Endorsing their heritage as they blast the music scene, it’s not rare for them to sneak in an obscure remix from their favorite underground Nordic acts.
